Born on May 30, 1953 in Monroe, Walton County, Georgia, George B. Peters, Jr. is the son of Hazel and the late G.B. Peters.  All of his life he has had serious interests in music and radio.  Having been on the air as early as his third birthday, Peters took his first full time job as a radio personality at age 13 at then WMRE in Monroe. His radio resume is voluminous.

 

George Peters is a graduate of Athens Academy, The University Of Georgia with a B.A. In Political Science and The University Of Georgia School Of Law where he obtained his J.D. Degree.  He won numerous honors while a student at UGA.

 

After law school and completing a stint in law enforcement, Peters returned to radio where he continued to work part time as recreation even after he opened his law practice in February of 1985.

 

Peters does not attempt to tun a full general practice.  Instead his focus is narrowed to the fields of Personal Injury, Divorce and Family Law, and DUI and Criminal Law.  This enables him to stay current on his areas of practice instead of spreading his knowledge thin.

 

Once the owner of the law firm of Peters And Anderson and later Peters And Associates, he now operates as a sole practitioner.  He does not assign paralegals or assistants to cases, preferring to handle each himself.
